Lake Cumberland State Resort Park is Kentucky’s #1 Resort Park, and it isn’t difficult to name many reasons to visit Lake Cumberland State Resort Park but here are five!
Reason #1-The View is breathtaking! Once you enter the park property, it is a the BEST Scavenger hunt event just watching to see what resident wildlife you can find inside. Not to mention the awesome opportunities to pull off the road for one of the many views of Lake Cumberland!

Reason #4-The hiking trails at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park range in length and difficulty but one thing is the same with each. They are beautiful! The Baugh Branch Trail is a 1.6 mile linear trail. The trailhead is located 3.6 miles back from the park entrance. The trail is level terrain and easy grade. The end of the trail is steep and leads up to the Lake Overlook and Baugh Branch.
Lake Bluff Trail is approximately 4 miles in length, begins at the Activity Center,
follows a meadnering path through the cottage areas and campground and ends at the overlook with a view of the Lake Cumberland State Dock and the Jamestown Resort and Marina. Hikers will encounter steep slopes and rough grades.
