Lake Cumberland provides so many ways to experience Kentucky’s brilliant fall foliage season. Unique to Lake Cumberland, houseboat rentals are available. After a day of cruising, one of the great things that make Lake Cumberland boating special are the number of coves available for an overnight tie up. For higher elevations, Lake Cumberland State Resort Park has panoramic views of this beautiful Kentucky lake with its surrounding acres of woods and hiking trails. And, The Wolf Creek Dam Overlook provides another elevated viewing point to see the fall foliage along the Cumberland River.
This Kentucky lake also offers great places to stay, both on the lake and as you are touring the backroads of Jamestown and Russell Springs seeing waterfalls, wildlife and the beautiful colors.
