KENDALL RECREATION AREA is one of the most popular RV park campgrounds in the Lake Cumberland area.  This gorgeous Army Corps campground is situated below Wolf Creek Dam along the beautiful Cumberland River.

Kendall Recreation Area is a multi-use recreation area enveloping 70 acres alongside the Cumberland River on the downstream side of Wolf Creek Dam. Within Kendall there are 115 reservable campsites, all of which have water and electric hookups. The campground is highly forested with well shaded campsites available for your comfort. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire ring and lantern post. A group day-use picnic shelter with water and electric hookups is available as well. Kendall Recreation Area also has two large playgrounds, several picnic sites adjacent to the Cumberland River, a hiking trail, a fish cleaning station, and a refreshment concessionaire known as the “Snack Shack.”

There are two boat-launching ramps nearby, one with the recreation area below Wolf Creek Dam serving access to the Cumberland River and the other above the Dam serving access to the main lake reservoir. Kendall also offers visitors convenient access to a cold water trout stream, making it a popular fishing destination. The trout stream is well-stocked with rainbow, brook and brown trout by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery which is located on-site directly adjacent to Kendall Recreation Area.
