Lake Cumberland State Resort Park on the northwestern shore of Lake Cumberland, offers a variety of lodgings for lakeside vacationers. The 63-room Lure Lodge, perched on a hill, overlooks Lake Cumberland from a peninsula jutting out into the north-central part of the lake and offers full amenities.
Lure Lodge provides a spa experience while its miniature golf, disc golf course, activities center, game room, nature trails and riding stables offer something for guests seeking a more active vacation. It is just a few minutes walk from the State Dock Marina where boat rentals of all kinds are available.
Pumpkin Creek Lodge is located away from the main Lake Cumberland State Resort Park complex and offers guests a more intimate 13 room setting. For large families, family reunions, or groups, there are three rooms at Pumpkin Creek Lodge that feature a full size sofa, wet bar and balcony. These rooms adjoin standard rooms through connecting doors. The lodge is in a beautiful setting that abuts Pumpkin Creek on Lake Cumberland.
Lake Cumberland State Resort Park has three different types of cabins for rent. These are spread through the park in three clusters, two of which are on their own peninsulas overlooking Lake Cumberland. There are one-bedroom and two-bedroom cottages that have American-style full kitchens and screened porches. The Wildwood Cottages are similar, but feature a chalet-style design and come with fireplaces.
