As we are getting ready for summer and Memorial Day weekend, let us remember and appreciate the brave military soldiers who have given their lives for our freedom, our liberties, and our privileges.

Mark your calendars for the 34th Annual Catch a Rainbow Kids Fishing Derby on June 4 at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery. This free event is one of the largest fishing derbies for children under the age of 16 in the country and promises a fun, family-oriented day of activities.

 

If you’re in the area on May 21, don’t miss the fun at Lake, Rattle & Roll on Monument Square in Jamestown. Vintage boats, live entertainment, lots of vendors and fireworks are the perfect festival kick-off for the Lake Cumberland boating season.

Nature Lovers have fun too.

Lake Cumberland is a perfect for a nature getaway with campsites, hiking trails, bicycle trails, horseback riding and simply enjoying nature. Lure Lodge at Lake Cumberland Resort Park near Jamestown offers 63 rooms, a beautiful dining room and an indoor swimming pool and many other amenities.
