Welcome To Mammoth Cave

Mammoth Cave makes for A GREAT Lake Cumberland Day Trip Idea!

You can’t come to Kentucky and not make a Day trip to the very famous Mammoth Cave National Park!  This is the world’s longest known cave system, with more than 390 miles explored, and a part of South Central Kentucky.  Located not far from Lake Cumberland – Jamestown & Russell Springs, Kentucky.

Early guide Stephen Bishop called the cave a “grand, gloomy and peculiar place,” but its vast chambers and complex labyrinths have earned its name—Mammoth.
